## Neighborhood
By staying in the 11ᵉ arrondissement, in the Bastille district, just a stone's throw from the unmissable Place de la Bastille, you'll be in the heart of one of the capital's liveliest neighborhoods.
You can also stroll along the Canal Saint-Martin, one of Parisians' favorite spots, especially in fine weather. A short metro ride will take you to the historic center of Paris, the Père-Lachaise cemetery, the Marais and the Place de la Bastille, as well as to the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont, one of Paris's largest green spaces. What's more, you'll be perfectly connected to the center of the capital to discover all the great monuments that make Paris the most beautiful city in the world.
The Bastille district is also one of the city's trendiest neighborhoods. Renowned for its lively nightlife, it's lined with bars and restaurants between rue de Lappe, rue de la Roquette, faubourg Saint-Antoine and rue de Charonne with its many fashion and designer boutiques.
Finally, its ideal location means you can easily reach the various Olympic venues by public transport. For example, you'll be just 15 minutes by metro from Hôtel de Ville, where the athletics events will take place, and 20 minutes from Bercy Arena, future home of the basketball, trampoline and artistic gymnastics events.
