Torrox is a municipality and town in the province of Malaga, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. It is located on the eastern Costa del Sol, along the Mediterranean Sea, at the foothills of the Sierra de Almijara, approximately 42 kilometers away from the capital city of Malaga. It is the head of the judicial district that bears its name and is one of the municipalities that make up the region of Axarquia and the Mancomunidad of Municipalities of the Costa del Sol-Axarquia.
