Maximum 2 pets/ dogs allowed. Vacation in Architectural Monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a revitalised future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the ‘Vacation in Architectural Monument’ foundation, which was set up by the Swiss Heritage Society in 2005.
Public transport: Bus 315 from Locarno, Stazione to Maggia, centro
Car park: public car park by the church
Number of persons 3: A cot is available on request (up to 2 years). The house can accommodate three guests (double room and single room). The floors are made of wood and stone, which is why we recommend good slippers.

Short holidays: Low season (min. 3 nights)
Outdoor space: covered pergola on the floor - the neighbouring house - the Ca‘ di Bifúi is built very interlocked with the Casa Portico - on the same floor the guests of the Ca’ di Bifúi go up to the roof terrace. The outdoor space is also partly used by the residents.

IMPORTANT ADDITION
The ‘Casa Portico’ is a listed building that has been renovated with great respect for the existing fabric. The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care. Although it is technically equipped to modern standards, certain functional details such as window and door openers, stair handrails and step heights do not meet current standards and are a potential source of danger. Particular reference should be made here to the narrow, steep outside staircase, which is a source of danger for people who are restricted in their ability to walk or for small children. The tenant is aware of these circumstances. The owner, e-domizil and the Vacation in Architectural Monument foundation disclaim any liability.
