5-room semi-detached house 115 m2 on 2 levels, on the ground floor. Rustic furnishings: large living/dining room with 1 double sofabed, dining nook and satellite TV. Kitchen (4 hot plates, oven, dishwasher, microwave, freezer, electric coffee machine) with dining table, open-hearth fireplace. Shower/WC. Upper floor: 1 room with 1 bed and 1 french bed. 1 room with 2 beds. 1 room with 2 beds. Shower/bidet/WC. Porch. Terrace furniture, barbecue. Very beautiful panoramic view of the countryside. Facilities: washing machine, mosquito net, baby cot for up to 2 year olds. Internet (WiFi, free). Maximum 1 small pet/ dog allowed. Near the kitchen, small room with chimney and seating corner. This room was formally used by the farmers to eat in and socialize.
This side of the renovated farmhouse, is the oldest part of the estate. Some hunting frescos in the dining/living room prove its origin as an hunting hut although it has been a farmer house and a stable too. The date 1850 is probably when the house was converted from hunting lodge to farmhouse. There are also 2 apartments, one for the caretaker and one, seldom used, for the owners. Very old large working farm "Podere Valle di Sotto". 2 km from the centre of Volterra, 30 km from the centre of San Gimignano, 40 km from the centre of Pisa, in a quiet position on top of a hill, in the countryside.
